It's great to be home, sit around, and not have to worry about where we'll stay tonight, where we'll eat next time, whether everyone is having fun, that sort of thing. Vacations are no picnic! There were some great moments this vacation, seeing the Sierra Madres, following my daughter horseback riding (she looked so natural), Disneyland parks of course, the Getty museum, the redwood forests, Napa county winery tour, taking kids on their first airplane trip, a couple quiet afternoons in a bowling alley, a desert museum visit... I guess everyone had fun; but after four weeks living out of suitcases, the whole bunch wanted to go home, sleep in their own beds, see the baby. It was a real vacation and lots of fun. Can't beat that!
